A charity organization, Livestrong & the Prostate Cancer Foundation, which demand attention worldwide for the serious disorders: prostate cancer, testicle cancer and the mental struggles that this entails. With Movember also Attention asked for depression and suicide prevention in men.
During various large -scale actions and events, not only as much money as possible for scientific research is collected, but also drawn attention in a playful way. A part is to grow a mustache. How did Movember come into existence?
The Movember Foundation was founded in Australia in 1999. Around 2004 a group of 30 men started growing mustaches to give the initiative a face. The Movember Foundation is the driving force behind all charity work and they want to generate the right attention by wearing the mustache, or actually giving the man's (in) health a face.
