Pomade is the most popular product with which men style their hair. Unfortunately we often see and hear that men go wrong with using their pomade, so they can't get everything out of it. You apply a pomade differently than one wax, clay or gel. It is therefore important to master how exactly you can get started with a pomade. That is why we have put the ins and outs on paper for you. We go then.
Choose the right pomade
Okay: Which pomade to use .. It already starts with snoring around the online shelves. You end up in a maze of different pomades that all make beautiful promises. How can you choose from that in F*CKS Sake? Well, it all starts with a piece of knowledge. Deep in advance which pomad The best is for your hair type. This way you can opt for pomade for long hair, medium hair or short hair. Also choose whether you want to go for a matte or shiny finish. You also have to think if you have a water -based pomade or one oil -based pomade wants to go. When you use a pomade, you have to go on oil -based, you must bear in mind that it will be a lot more difficult to wash out of your hair.
The better the product suits your preferences, the more satisfied you will be with your pomade. Don't you know for sure? Then you have a couple of pomade-loving internet friends who are happy to help you with that! (I am talking about us, the Alpha team, if the hint is not clear).
Applying pomade
You have read the right pomade for hair, many good reviews and then it is really time for the baptism of fire. You can get started yourself. But how do I apply a pomade in the right way? To make it as easy as possible for you, we have set up some steps for it.
Step 1: Provide towel -dry hair
When your hair is towel dry, the pomade for your hair will be able to do better. If it is too wet you get a kind of law look, also good of course, but then you have to consciously choose that. If your hair is towel dry, it is easier to model and it will stay longer in the way you want.
Step 2: Warm and distribute the pomade in your hands
And now the step where many men go wrong. A pomade is not a wax. It is not that you grab a lick of pomade with your fingers and you will spread it directly into your hair. No, you do it with your palms. So take a lick of pomade (not too much!), Do this on your palms and then rub it against each other. You have to do this so that the pomade gets warm due to the friction between your palms. In addition, it is also ideal for the distribution of the pomade into your hair.
Step 3: Applying pomade in your hair
Never start at the front. It works most conveniently if you work it in from the sides. When you start at the front you get the most product here and this will be shown. Always start with your scalp and work it down in your hair. In fact, it can be applied as if you were washing your hair with shampoo, start with crown and work forward. And of course don't forget to include your back in this process!
Step 4: The styling of your hairstyle with a comb
Men's claws are not subtle and the outcome of styling with your hands will therefore not be subtle. If you want to go for a slightly more subtle look, we recommend combing your hair with a crest. Your look immediately becomes a lot more refined.
Watching a pomade
Is a pomade excesses easy? Well, this is entirely due to or you have opted for a water -based pomade or a pomade on oil -based. A water -based pomade is without difficulty washing out of your hair, because you just do this with warm water (and often a little shampoo). If you want to wash a sturdy pomade on oil base from your hair, you have to come up with some groffer guns. Special products have been developed for pomade or oil -based, that make this easier, such as a Clariyfing Shampoo or scrub shampoo. If you want to wash it out with a normal shampoo, then you have to grab at least 2x shampoo and scrub your scalp and her.
