History of DOVO
In 1906, DOVO was founded in the German town of Solingen. At that time, it consisted of a forge, factory, and grinding shop of Razors. Mr. Dorp and Mr. Voos were the founders of DOVO and had 13 employees at that time. While many Brands were snowed under during World War II, DOVO managed to hold its ground.
When electric shavers hit the market, Fritz Bracht, who had taken over DOVO, needed to generate a second source of income. This is why DOVO started producing and selling barber scissors. In 1996, DOVO took over the Brand Merkur, and before they knew it, DOVO Merkur became one of the largest producers of classic Razors worldwide.
