What do you use a shaving bowl for?

In principle, you can also whip the shaving foam directly from the jar where the shaving soap, or shaving cream is already in, into foam with the brush. But with a shaving bowl, you can whip the shaving soap much better and easier into an optimally thick and creamy mousse. You can't achieve that in the jar with shaving soap itself.
The best thing is to preheat the bowl with water. You leave a little bit of warm water in it. Then you pass the wet and warm shaving brush through the shaving soap so that it is well saturated. After that, you whip the soap in the bowl with the shaving brush until you have a rich thick shaving soap.
