Vacancy: Category Manager - Hair

Full-time position | 32-40 hours

As a Category Manager at The Alpha Men you are responsible for the Hair, Hair Styling and Hair Care category. You ensure that the categories are well structured, the decision aid is correctly completed and filtering is applied to the products. Affinity with hair styling & care is a plus, because we would like you to be aware of the latest trends and developments. In order to identify trends, to see customer needs and growth opportunities. This will result in improvements and expansion of the range.

In this role you become a real specialist and you know everything about the products and brands we carry. In this role you work closely with Purchasing, Support and the Content Manager.

Of course you will be trained in this and we will provide you with the right tools. Together with you we make The Alpha Men a great success!

Activities

• Manage all products in the Hair Styling & Hair Care category:
  Additions to the range are processed by you and put online. Current product texts will be improved and written in a customer-friendly manner.
• Optimizing the Hair Styling & Hair Care category:
  You ensure that all products are in the correct (sub)categories. That the right filters are applied to products and that each (sub)category has an accompanying text (in collaboration with Copywriter).
• Application of decision aid:
  To make it easier for our customers to find the right products, we have the option of applying a decision aid per subcategory. With a few clicks, the customer then has the desired product advice. You manage and optimize this.
• Manage assortment:
  You are aware of the latest trends and developments and you ensure that our range is too. You contribute new brands and maintain contact with (new) brands. (in collaboration with Purchasing).
  
  

Job requirements

• Excellent command of the Dutch language:
  You will work in a Dutch webshop, with Dutch as the working language. Many products come from English-speaking countries with English descriptions. So a reasonable command of the English language is a must.
• Ordered:
  With more than 6,000 products in our range, you must be able to keep an overview, divide the products into the right categories and work in a structured way.
• Proactive attitude:
  You think along and identify opportunities, you see where we can implement improvements and you ventilate this within the company.
• HBO working and thinking level:
  This can be an education, but can also be evidenced by work experience.
• Work independently
  We can provide you with all information and give you access to all tools, but the position does require independence and responsibility. We give you all the freedom to take the Hair Styling & Hair Care category to the next level.
