About Saponificio Varesino
Saponificio Varesino was founded in 1945 by Dante Bardelli. Shortly after World War II, this (then still) small soap maker was established. Bardelli had to find a way to financially support his family after the war. His intuition told him that artisanally produced traditional soaps and shaving soaps could be a potential income, as there was a high demand for it in Italy. Together with his wife Ines, he started the company Saponificio Varesino. They used soap from Varese, which is located on the shore of Lake Maggiore.
All the money Bartelli earned from his small business was reinvested in the company. Bardelli went around the province on his motorcycle, with a sidecar full of soap. Soon, Saponificio Varesino grew beyond the borders of the Italian province. Today, more than 70 years later, soap, shaving soap, and other products are still produced in the same authentic way.
The house Saponificio Varesino works as much as possible with only natural ingredients. This eau de parfum contains no palm oil, preservatives, artificial antioxidants, petroleum, mineral oils, dyes, and parabens.
