You probably know it well, you leave your hairdresser with a perfect haircut and you finally have your hair the way you want it. The next day you want to style your hair again and the look from the day before is impossible to achieve. It could mean that you're not doing your hair the right way or that you're using the wrong product. That's not surprising given the number of different products on the market today. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. To make it a bit easier for you, we'll tell you which products you should use for certain hairstyles and what those products actually do.
If you're still using such a large pot of yellow chemical material, it's time to call the disposal service to have it removed from your home. You're probably not going to achieve the hairstyle you have when you walk out of the salon with it.

Pompadour
The pompadour has been very popular in recent years. It can be worn in different ways. Tight, neat, and classic or more loose and natural. You achieve this hairstyle best with a pomade. We recommend a water-based pomade because it is easier to wash out.
Hair Dryer your hair into shape after washing and apply the pomade. If you have thick hair, use a pomade with a strong hold. Use a high shine for a lot of gloss or a low shine for a more matte effect. If your hair is too thick, apply the pomade to slightly damp hair. You will then be able to style more easily and your hair will shine more. For thinner hair, it's best to blow-dry your hair completely dry and then apply the product. Your hair will then have more volume and the hold will be stronger.

Short and messy
If you want a short, natural, and messy look, use a clay in dry hair. Your hair will get a lot of texture, volume, and hold but still maintain a natural appearance. Apply the clay to dry hair and knead it into shape for the messy effect. Nowadays, you see this style with shorter sides and back with more hair on top. You can also wear it with more covered sides and back. It's entirely up to you. This style works well for people with wavy hair.
The part
Like the Pompadour, the part is an extremely popular hairstyle that will probably never completely disappear. There are two variants. The loose, more casual part with more volume and the classic tight part. We will discuss both.

The classic part
A hairstyle that is more suitable for people with straight hair. It is best to use a product with a strong hold for this. This can be a pomade or wax. Whichever you find most comfortable. Use a comb while blow-drying to combs your hair in the desired direction and to get a nice parting. Then apply the pomade or wax and optionally comb again. For the classic parting, a pomade with a lot of shine is often used. You could use a pomade on both a water-based and oil-based formula.

The casual parting
A parting often seen in men with more wave in their hair. This is because hair with wave or curl tends to go its own way and it is often not nice to combs it tightly. You achieve this style best by using a paste or possibly a pomade with a low to medium hold. Hair Dryer your hair dry and style it only with your fingers. You also make the parting with your fingers because a comb makes it too tight. Then apply the paste or pomade by kneading to maintain the texture and nice wave. If you have thinner hair, you could also use a clay for more volume.

Slicked back
A style often said to be for the true gentleman. This style only works well when you have straight hair. Hair Dryer your hair and comb it back in the meantime. Then apply a pomade with a lot of hold. An oil-based pomade works best for this style. It has a lot of hold and a lot of shine. If you don't like that, a water-based pomade is of course also possible. If you want a lot of shine, apply it to slightly damp hair. Optionally style it with a wax.

Hair forward
A very easy hairstyle for which you hardly need any hair product. You only need to bring your hair forward with your hands. Do you have thick hair? Use just a little grooming spray or paste to style your hair. Apply to dry hair. Also an ideal style to hide your receding hairline.

Long hair
When you have longer hair, it is best not to put too much in your hair. You want it probably naturally let it fall and it should naturally look like that. We recommend using a light cream or grooming spray. This has a low hold but does provide some control over your hair.
