Sometimes there are those things that are hard to influence. Like aging. Aging. An irreversible process. So it's best to deal with it as relaxed as possible. Some do that easier than others. Wrinkles Happen.
So off to a clinic and let the botox or other remedies flow loosely into the skin via injection to gentlemen who let it all go. Two extremes. But in general, we still want to stay vital and young-looking for as long as possible.
It is not only wrinkles and furrows but also, for example, a pale complexion and dark circles under the eyes that make the skin look older than it actually is. There are several reasons for this.
A man often has somewhat heavier physical jobs. In addition, we do not, like the ladies, stand in front of the mirror more often to give our skin the necessary TLC. Apart from shaving and perhaps applying a cream to the face, it often stops there.
And so the skin continues to age at a rapid pace. But you can very easily do something about that. By keeping the skin in shape you can delay or even camouflage anti-aging.
How can you slow down skin aging?
You can think of the skin aging process as the ripening of a fine wine. With love and dedication, this nectar develops into an attractive showpiece. However, this requires commitment and discipline.
The grapes must have been properly treated in order to shine in old age. By this we mean to say that you need to get into a good routine to keep your skin in perfect condition.
It starts with preventive maintenance. You don't wax your car for nothing. If you don't, the paintwork will deteriorate. With all its consequences. So this is how you tackle your skin.
Just start with a basic daily skincare routine and the right products for it. We know you like simplicity and don't want to spend too much time so keep it simple and effective. When you stand in front of the mirror:
- Start by using a mild facial cleanser, such as the Grown Alchemist Gentle Gel Facial Cleanser, and moisturizer. Rather, do not wash the face with soap as this will dry out your skin.
- After cleansing your face, use a high-quality anti-aging face cream to moisturize the skin. This will delay skin aging and keep your skin looking young and vital.
- Be sure to use an anti-aging eye cream. The skin under the eyes is very sensitive, thin and is actually the first to mark. With too little sleep, you can very quickly see puffiness develop. It is a very weak area and prone to discoloration, wrinkles and lines. A good anti-aging eye cream will ensure that these first signs of aging are visibly reduced.
- Before sleeping, apply an anti-aging mask. This gives the outstandingly effective organic ingredients all the time they need to hydrate as well as nourish the skin. Of course, there are also night creams that help preserve the skin perfectly. You can learn more about them in our article on night cream.
Drink as much water as possible
Pour more than enough aqua. That's often a challenge for us men. Look, if we talk about sufficient intake of ice-cold beer or a fine chardonnay, we have a lot less trouble with that. But water. It doesn't taste like anything. We know.
Unless you put your mouth greedily to the kitchen tap in Paris. Then you taste a powerful taste of chlorine. But commit yourself to drinking at least 1.5 liters of (spring) water a day. And: facial aging processes HATE water. It actually causes skin aging to slow down this way and, at best, reverse it.
Simple: our skin is our largest organ. Organs are made up of cells. Cells are made up of water. So you can imagine that those little cells of ours respond tremendously to proper hydration. It makes them feel extremely comfortable.
When dehydrated, they go into a rut. Then the skin goes completely out of balance. Lesson: So the skin must be adequately hydrated to function optimally. So always have a water bottle or bottle of fresh water with you at home, on the road or at work. By the way, our tap water is top quality so what do you care. There is no cheaper way to keep your skin in the right condition.
Avoid the sun as much as possible
This is something we keep harping on. A little sun is very healthy, but try to avoid an abundance of sun as much as possible. Of course we love those warm rays but sunbathing should be done in moderation. After all, UV radiation is the biggest cause of skin aging.
In fact, it damages the skin. If you do regularly bivouac in the sun, make sure you apply a superior SPF with a high protection factor. Also be sure to reapply sunscreen every 2 hours because the effectiveness of a (high) SPF fades quickly. And remember, even in winter there is plenty of Uv radiation that can damage your skin.
Live as healthy as possible
Once again we are kicking in some open doors but we keep harping on it. A healthy way of life ensures good condition. Also that of the skin. So that means getting enough exercise, eating an excellent diet, not smoking and being moderate with alcohol. Smoking, by the way, is also a thing. Maybe you know them in your environment? People with a grayish glow. Those Diana Charité types.
Of course we all have our weak moments and we like to play by certain rules. We spend many sparkling nights and prefer to live like gods in France or Ibiza. Soaking up the sun with a cocktail in our hands.
However, this unfortunately affects our skin health. Skin aging goes faster than you think. Thank God that we Alpha's have a variety of perfect anti-aging products in our virtual shop window to keep your tormented skin as flexible and elastic as possible. For as long as possible!
