What you should pay attention to when buying new razor blades
If you want to buy a new razor blade, it is important to keep in mind what is really important. To fall with the door: that is not the look.
The sharpness

And that is the sharpness of your razor. Sharpness immediately says everything about comfort. If your knife is not sharp enough, you will experience a lot of ailments. To determine the sharpness of your razor, a real "sharpness scale" has been designed. All razor blades must indicate a number of 1 to 5. Here 1 is the lowest sharpness and 5 the highest. Just pay attention if you want to buy a razor. A sharpness must be indicated here every time. Is this not indicated? Junk, road with it, run.
Beginners often choose a low scale, but this is not always recommended. Sure, if you are 12 and want to shave a lost fluffy hair for the first time. But that is what it will remain. It is of course also nice if your razor is for sale for a good price. Always look at razors that fall into your price range. The funny thing is that in the supermarket or drugstore the blades are often more expensive (!) Than when you convert what a single-of-double edge blade costs. So take a look at what it actually costs and don't be seduced by the price you see on the price tag. If you do a lot less with it, you will lose a lot more money afterwards.
Which razor blades are there?
The choice is huge. You will have to buy a razor blade that best suits you, your look, your hair type (or beard length) and your lifestyle. We can never say, "This is the best for you!" Double Edge Blades
Double Edge Blades are, as you can guess, sharp on two sides. The polished, stainless steel blades offer quality and comfort on two sides of the knife. Double Edge Blades can be placed in a Safety Razor or Shavette without a hassle. The reason that you can also use it in a Shavette is because the blades are easy to break in two. Then you actually have two single edge blades, but then from one knife!
Many barbers use Double Edge Blades and that is of course not without reason. The blades are therefore razor -sharp and easy to use. In addition, a big advantage is that they are incredibly cheap. In terms of sharpness and quality, the Single Edge Blade is exactly the same as the Double Edge Blade. The benefits are therefore the same as the list above. Cartridge Blades
Okay, you can easily shave with a cartridge blade, but our preference is not looking forward to this. The cartridge blades have several blades than the single or double edge blades and therefore have more impact on your skin. If you have sensitive skin, your skin will quickly irritate or pull.
