Eye cream: the basis of eye care for men

We assume that your skin is cleansed and ready to be cared for. Just like with women, you use a special eye cream for eye care for men. The 'normal' day cream you use for the rest of your face is usually too greasy and stiff for the delicate skin around your eyes. This skin cannot absorb the cream properly and this can eventually cause blockage. Of course clogged pores only cause misery, to prevent this you take a cream that is lighter in texture. Eye creams are less thick, absorb well and you often only use a pinhead.

How do you use eye cream?

You first dab that pinhead cream around the eyes to distribute it evenly, you then get a number of dots of cream. Now you can gently dab and rub to massage the cream into your skin. Do this lightly and gently so as not to irritate your skin. Feel if the skin is saturated, otherwise apply a little more. After this, you let it soak in for a while before continuing with the rest of your routine.

Concealer

The rest of your routine? To achieve a fresh look of the eyes, then use some concealer. The literal translation of this word in Dutch is 'verberger' and that is exactly what you do with it. Almost everyone knows bags, pigment spots or old age spots and it is nice to be able to get rid of them. Concealer for around the eyes is often brownish in color in different shades depending on your skin color.

How do you use concealer?

The concealer actually has the same application method as the eye cream. There are two basic ways to apply: with your fingers or with a concealer pen. The latter is useful because you can apply it directly to the skin. Put a number of dots and then spread with your fingers or an accompanying brush. If your concealer is not in pen form, you apply it with your fingers, just like the eye cream. A small pin head is more than enough. You can possibly take some spots in the rest of your face. Make sure you have the right color and that the concealer is well absorbed by your skin. This way there are no weird noticeable spots of concealer.
