With the completely new collection of Forte Series we thought it was a good time to write something about the Forte Series Texture Clay. The first product from Forte Series has now been a bestseller for a number of years, which has gone through the ceiling since the launch. We were surprised with the enormous popularity that the product received in our store in a short time. Is the product really that good?
Forte Series is of course the brand of the well -known influencer Alex Costa. He is known for his great hairstyle to which he takes a lot of care. He often uses the texture clay in his videos. That of course contributes enormously to brand awareness. But to test whether the product is really that good, we should actually put it in front of a similar product that has long proven itself. Then of course we end up with the Claymate of Hanz de Fuko. The Hanz de Fuko Claymate has been one of the best and most popular for years clays On the market. That is why we put them side by side and compare the most important features.
Hanz de Fuko
Hanz de Fuko was founded in 2009 by David Alfonso and his best friend Christopher Zent. They wanted to renounce the boring business and create something that the current standards would be bothered. A product with which every man can express his own creativity. The traditional way of thinking about external care of the man had to be different. The man had to have this on products that are more stylish and more innovative. This is how Hanz de Fuko was created. They were the first brand that sent products to influencers to win brand awareness. The brand quickly became world famous. Well -known stars such as David Beckham and Hugh Jackman, for example, use the products of Hanz de Fuko.
Forte Series
In the meantime, the world looks completely different. Hanz de Fuko sent their products to influencers, and now influencers themselves come with their products. Similarly Alex Costa, one of the greatest YouTubers in the field of everything that has to do with the external care of the man. Alex is someone who is known for his great looks. Many people always wonder what exactly he does with his hair. He should stand in front of the mirror for hours. Well not. According to Alex, it is about using the right product and how you use it. It inspired Alex to have a products developed herself. He built a complete community for Forte Series and had the product fully developed based on the needs of the people in his community. The result was the Texture Clay. A clay that provides a lot of hold, texture and also takes care of the hair. Here you can see the clay in action.
ClayMATION VS Texture Clay
The Claymate of Hanz de Fuko is one of the most praised hair styling products in the world and certainly the bestseller of Hanz de Fuko. The Texture Clay from Forte Series actually just really exists. Let's see how he stands up.
Ingredients
It is striking that the ingredient list of the Texture Clay is a lot longer. There are slightly more caring ingredients and some more ingredients for shelf life. They are both made from natural ingredients. Looking at the active ingredients, both products are very similar. They both contain a lot of Beeswax and Bentonite. That's a good sign. Bentonite is a type of clay that gives her a lot of volume. Both products do not actually differ much from each other on paper. Only the proportions are slightly different. Score: 0 - 0
Fragrance
If you are really a fetishist in the field of scents, we have to disappoint you. Both products do not contain a perfume and therefore have a neutral scent. The only thing you could take care of in terms of scent, are the ingredients themselves. The advantage is of course that the product becomes less taste sensitive and also gives less chance of allergic reactions. Score 0 - 0
Structure and application in the hair
At first glance, both products look the same in the jar. But appearances are deceiving. You will notice the difference when you want to get the product out of the jar. The Texture Clay is a lot thicker and harder than the Claymate. You can easily remove the ClayMATION with your fingertip from the jar and spread out quite easily over your hand.
At the Texture Clay you will really have to press the product in the product to get something out of it. It is a bit of rubbing in your hand to spread the product. In the end the product heats up and it is a lot easier.
Applying
You also notice the difference above when applying. The Claymate is flexible and effortlessly divide through your hair. The texture clay feels a little stickier and is sometimes a bit rough. Not so bad that it is annoying, but more than the Claymate. Once divided into the hair, the Texture Clay gives much more control than the Claymate. Yet the ease of use of the Claymate is better here. Score: 0 - 1 for Claymate
Hold
The Texture Clay may be a little stiffer than the ClayMATION, in terms of Hold, the Texture Clay definitely blows the Claymate. The Claymate has a good flexible hold and is absolutely not bad. Still one of the best. But you just have more control over your hair and it just stays in place for longer. The hair is also easy to put back in shape. You hardly notice that stiff after application. We are positively surprised! This point goes to Forte Series. Score: 1 -1
Shine
Shine or shine is of course very personal. One wants a little natural shine and the other really matte. Hanz de Fuko's Claymate should give a matte finish. We think that is not entirely true. It has a little natural shine, but not completely matte. The texture clay really gives a matte effect. It is therefore a bit drier than the Claymate. We think that a clay matte should be. That is why it goes to the Texture Clay. Score: 2-1 for Forte Series.
Wash out
Both products contain a lot of Beeswax. Both are therefore not completely water -based. You also notice that with the excess of both products. With only water it doesn't really work. Only a little bit of shampoo is fortunately enough to get both products out of your hair. Both products actually score immediately. Score still: 2-1
Price:
Here it becomes really interesting. Both products are about the same expensive. It saves exactly one euro. You get the Claymate in a jar of 56 grams. The texture clay comes in a jar of yes, 100 ml! The Texture Clay is therefore pretty well priced. That is why this point also goes to the Texture Clay. Score: 3-1
And the winner is .....
If we look at the score, the Texture Clay is clearly the winner between the two. Yet it is very personal. It's just what you are looking for in a product. Do you want your hair to stay in place and a lot of control? Then the Texture Clay clearly wins. If you go pure for ease of use and a more flexible hold, the ClayMATion is your product. It is a somewhat smoother product. The shine also decides for some men. One wants matte and the other wants a little bit of shine.
Is the Texture Clay from Forte Series a hype from the world of influencers? Absolutely not. It can compete with the best clays on the market. As far as we are concerned, it is a keeper.
