Why is it called a toilet bag?
In any case, a toilet bag has nothing to do with a toilet, a toilet bowl never fits in anyway and they are not meant to shit in.
But why is it called that? Simple: it has its origins from the United States. Where soldiers were already equipped during the 1st World War with a so -called Toiletery Kit in which they could store all the necessary toiletries (read: care products that they apparently have in their oversized toilet at home) and could quickly grab.
After all, a plunjebaal had no extra courses to properly store shaving utensils. Such a kit was therefore a necessary accessory.
