When street artist Steve Lockart was a car salesman in Michigan week after week outside in the heat selling cars, he had issues with keeping his hair in shape. The hair products he used were not to his liking because they didn't work well (enough) in the heat. Because of his good relationship with his Barber and being motivated in part by him, Steve, along with his wife Nichole, got to work in the kitchen creating organic pomade. Like a frantic alchemist, he managed to forge a hair product that ultimately met his needs perfectly.
Friends and family also found his creamy concoctionoutstanding so he decided to produce more and refine the process. Thanks in part to the Internet, Lockart's pomade received "media attention" and the ball got rolling resulting in a small physical store.
